Mountain Riders

THERE IS AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE JESUS KNOWN IN OUR COMMUNITY THROUGH MOUNTAIN SPORTS.

The Sea-to-Sky corridor is renowned for skiing, snowboarding and mountain biking, and many people move here explicitly for this reason.

Mountain Riders will seek to be a group of Christ-loving individuals that desire to make Jesus known in mountain riding culture. When we properly recognize the call on our life to ‘go into the world and make disciples’, these sports are no longer just about having fun or getting outside to enjoy nature. Instead, they become a platform to share the gospel and our personal stories of faith.
Mountain Riders will consist of the following types of events.

TUNE UP

Tune Up is when we come together to tune up our bikes and boards, but also a time of tuning up our life. We want our lives to be shaped by the gospel so that our attitudes and actions reflect the good news that we believe in.
Next TUNE UP night is Saturday December 1st!
Where: Shore Church Hub
Time: 7pm
Bring wax, bring snacks!

EQUIP

Equip will be intentional nights of training for how to be a light on the hill. We will come together to pray over each other, to learn what it means to be be led by the spirit, and practice some techniques for sharing our faith in our context.
Next Equip, December 10-12 in Whistler, BC
What: Light on the Hill Ski/Snowboard Retreat (partnered with Whistler Community Church)
