The Next 20
“in the world you will have tribulation” -John 16:33
“through many tribulations we must enter the Kingdom” - Acts 14:22
In this sermon series we are looking at what the Bible says about having a long term, soul anchoring vision of endurance as Jesus church. One of the great themes of scripture is that following Jesus is hard, there’s a cost, and promise that when we abandon our lives for him we will face trails and hardship. Thus, we need a vision for our lives of endurance. As Hebrews 10:36 says, For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.
In this series we will look at the Bible’s call and assurance for endurance as well as what it means to be the church, lead in the church and in our homes for the long haul.
The Next 20 // Everyone In Ministry
Every believer is called to the joyous task of developing, serving, loving and deploying disciples of their own household, their local church. In this sermon we unpack Paul's vision for every believer to be equipped and involved in this ministry, using their gifts for the glory of God
The following sermon is based in Ephesians 4:1-17.
The Next 20 // 2 Enduring Mindsets: A Big God & Communion with Christ
In this sermon we look at two Biblical mindsets that will help us endure in our lives. The first is having a a big God theology, a true picture of the glorious majesty and victory of God over the world and our salvation. The second way to live a life that endures is by clinging to our communion with Christ. Without a daily devotion and communion with Jesus, you and I will not endure. We just won’t if Jesus is not the end, the goal and the true trust and joy in our lives.
