Victorious God: Winning in the Unseen Realm
In this sermon series we look at the reality of spiritual conflict and how Jesus’ victory on the cross is appropriated for us in order to win the war against the unseen evil forces described in Ephesians 6. In Ephesians 6:10-20 the call is to stand firm “being strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.” The goal of this series is to help us practically do that, by putting on and applying- against real personal beings of darkness -the full armour of God, the full realities of Jesus’ present, and real authority, identity and truths.

It is a very human and natural response of man to fear the unknown. For a believer to keep himself in the dark about Satan’s person and work is a dangerous mistake. If the enemy with whom we personally have so much to do in battle remains to us some mysterious, foreboding, awesome power we are afraid to oppose, we are indeed at a disadvantage. -Mark I. Bubeck
For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies—the evil rulers of the unseen world, those mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world; and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world. - Ephesians 6:12
The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. - 1 John 3:8
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. -1 Peter 5:8–9
Armour of God part 3 // Ephesians 6:18-20
In this last message we look at the power of prayer in putting on all of God’s armour. We can’t do anything without the Spirit and in our battle against the enemy we need the continuous abiding, guiding and communing presence of the Spirit. We also look at how Paul needed prayer as he engaged in spiritual warfare and evangelism.
Armour of God part 2 // Ephesians 6:16-17
In this sermon we unpack the rest of God’s armour, the shoes made ready by the Gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit! The imagery of armour of God is one of the church not just individuals fighting a war in isolation but one of shields overlapping shoulder to shoulder
