WHY & HOW WE GIVE
Giving is always in response to grace. We give by investing our time and our treasure. To honour God with the gifts He has given you. We also give financially as a demonstration of our recognition that everything we have is from God. We call our members to give, not by meeting some obligatory percentage, but gladly sacrificing for the sake of the gospel because Jesus sacrificed for us, and all that we have is His.
As you consider the following methods for giving, we encourage you to pursue the following order.
GIVE BY DEBIT
Regularly giving can be set up with a pre-authorized debit (PAD) so we automatically withdraw funds from your bank account instead of your credit card.
This is what we need:
- A void cheque or a pre-authorized debit form from your bank (these are usually available on your online banking)
- Tell us when you would like the funds to be debited from your account. We have a number of options like once a month, bi-weekly, semi-monthly etc.
- Tell us the first date you would like this to begin:
- If you want monthly debits on the 1st of the month – we can do that!
- If you want bi-weekly debits with the first one this Friday then you will have it come out this Friday and every other Friday thereafter.

GIVE BY E-TRANSFER
You can give anytime by sending an interac e-transfer to give@theshorechurch.ca. Please follow the steps below:
- Go to your online banking and select interac e-transfer
- Set up a new recipient as give@theshorechurch.ca
- Set up the e-transfer and password if required*
- In the message field, please include your full name and address (for tax receipt purposes) and any fund designation details (ie Benevolent, Ministry Giving)
- If a password was required, please email give@theshorechurch.ca to provide it.
*Note that we are registered for auto-deposit, therefore no password will be required if your transfer is being made through a bank that supports this feature.
GIVE BY CHEQUE
If you would like to give by cheque, please make it out to ‘The Shore Church’ and put in the ‘Give’ Box at the Welcome Desk on Sundays, or mail to:

GIVE BY CREDIT CARD
If giving by credit card is your only option, and The Shore Church is your home church, feel free to use this online option to give to the ministry. As a matter of practice and principle all gifts are allotted to The Shore Church general Ministry Giving budget unless they are noted for a specific fund, ie. Benevolent.
If you’re a Christian outside our area who uses the website regularly and you feel compelled to give above and beyond your primary giving to your local Christian congregation and mission, we appreciate your support.
